Nothing that Jesus did was random. Everything Jesus did was for the honor of His father and the good of men. He never allowed controversies to distract Him from the work He was sent to do. There was a plot to kill him amongst the leaders and increasing opposition amongst many of the people. When Jesus healed the blind man He was not mechanically doing the will of His Father He was acting out of His own heart. He genuinely loved this man and ministered to him both on the physical and spiritual level. We likewise honor the Father when we have His heart of compassion for the sea of human need, created by the effects of sin, all around us. This genuine compassion is born of the Holy Spirit and only grows through increased fellowship with God.
