God gave all of humanity hope, when there was no hope. He gave the promise of a Savior who would consecrate a new and living way back to God. This promise of hope was given to a world experiencing spiritual separation from God and impending torment and eternal death because of their sin. This promise is first found in the book of Genesis at the time of Adam and Eve’s fall. In that promise God said that one day a Savior would be born of a woman and He would crush the head of the Serpent. Genesis 3:15 Furthermore, in the book of Isaiah the Messiah is predicted to come as “a child who would be born into this world but at the same time to be a Son who is given” For Scriptures say, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given.” And when He comes again He will rule the world “And the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 - Isaiah 9:6 He is the One we speak of on Christmas.
