What God's LAW DECREED unclean, unfit and unable... His GRACE DECLARED redeemed, clean and free.
You see, the LAW had DECREED Mary unclean, and, therefore, she was condemned by the LAW, as UNFIT for worship and UNABLE to touch anything holy, therefore, she was forbidden from the temple for over 40 days (Leviticus 12).
BUT wait, here it is... ponder this! Our loving Father, through His eternal love and everlasting mercy, placed His redeeming GRACE, His own Son and Savior inside her, first, then within her hands and home. Think about this with me? Mary, condemned unclean, unfit and unable by LAW, not only nursed and tenderly held Jesus within her arms — BUT she literally dwelled in the presence of Him who's name is Holy. Glory... she's touching Him who alone is Holy. Why? How? God!!!!! Yes, all because of God, His GRACE and it blessed Him to visit and redeem His people.
That's right, the entire time she was considered unclean, unfit and unable to worship according to the LAW.... she's tenderly loving, cuddling, nurturing and cherishing the center of ALL worship and adoration. That's right, by the LAW, she was not allowed to touch any sanctified thing...BUT she's holding God. YES, God's grace, through her baby and God's Son, would not only open the veil to the very heart of God for the rest of us condemned under the law, but she's abiding in the presence of HOLINESS and living before God's mercy and only satisfied covering for sin... GLORY!!!
That, my friends, is grace. What a difference redeeming GRACE makes. Wow! The law, though it is good and has its divine purpose and priority, always condemns. But God's grace, as with Mary, is ABLE to free those condemned by the law |
