The evening sermon will further prepare us for spiritual growth. Revelation 3.20 is a text to Christians, to the church. I have often used the phrase "experiential Christianity" and this text will more fully explain what that means. When we return soon to our sermons dealing with the Canons of Dort we will see how openly they work with this model of "experiential Christianity." May the Lord help us to grow in Him toward spiritual mindedness!
As we rejoice together in our Lord we also commit to pray for one another. The entrance of a new year is a great time to renew our commitment to a glorious life together as God's people. ----------- Responsive Reading of Song of Songs 5.1-8 Scripture Reading: Revelation 3.14-22 Text: Revelation 3.20 Sermon: "Ponder: Experiential Christianity" ----------- Theme: Jesus is pursing close communion with all His people
