Jesus didn't lose his Godhead to come into this world to serve and die for us. He was expressing it. This is who our God is. We all need to see Jesus being this to us. We need to feel the comfort and compassion of it. We need to know that nothing can take away our identity as his beloved people. When we see the cross as God's way of coming to us, then we have the mind of Christ, and can serve one another.
