How do we deal with death in our so-called secular culture? Most religions, in a way, deal with death. Some would have a differing view of the after-life they would maintain that works determine what happens to us when we pass from this life? Christians believe however, it is a matter of faith. A faith in Jesus Christ, who, following His death on the cross, rose from the dead. This marks Christianity out from all the other religions.
Much, probably most of the evangelical church has lost its way, and has been caught up with the expectations of the secular culture that we live amongst.
Secular culture has lost the Christian's hope, instead there is by and large a fear of death. Whereas for the Christian there is a hope beyond the grave, a hope of a Glory to come. Do not therefore be in bondage to death. How prepared are you?
