The last time we looked at verse 10 – we saw that the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ absolutely guarantees that;
1st – JESUS WILL HAVE A SPIRITUAL OFFSPRING – 'He shall see HIS SEED' – (John 1:12-13) 'But as many as received (Jesus), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (Romans 8:16) 'The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”
2nd – ALL OF CHRIST'S SPIRITUAL CHILDREN WILL LIVE FOREVER – 'He shall PROLONG HIS DAYS' – in other words, the death of Jesus Christ was not really the end of His life—it was the extension of His life… Jesus' life would be extended in the lives of all those who are born of the Spirit... Jesus said, (John 14:19) 'Because I live, you will live also.' (Jn 10:28) 'And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish…” (John 11:25-26) 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though He may die, yet shall he live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die...'
This morning, we're going to focus our attention on the last phrase of the 10th verse, which reads, 'the PLEASURE OF THE LORD SHALL PROSPER in His hand'
