There is nothing born of corruptible seed into this world, that does not die. And certainly every man born of woman will someday return to dust. We are like flowers that grow and bloom for a season, and then fade and die.
But while the Bible plainly shows us the mortality of all those born once, it makes clear that those who were born twice, or born again as scripture puts it, will inherit eternal life. It also tells the born again believer that his life here on earth will no longer be dominated by hate, but instead dedicated to loving God and his brothers and sisters.
The life of the natural man may be 'nasty, brutish, and short' as Hobbes put it, but by contrast the life of those born again through the gospel of Jesus Christ should be kind, loving, and eternal.
