What a powerful statement is made here in our text. It was made to one of the objects of God's electing love who had not yet met the Lord of glory. She knew much about religion, about Jewish history, about the Messiah expected to come soon; but she did not know Christ! The greatest marvel of the Bible is when a poor, condemned sinner is touched by the hand of the Lord and is brought to faith in Christ Jesus.
