As King Solomon approached the end of his life, he had come to realize that there were things beyond even the great wisdom that he had been given. He could not fathom the way in which God works in the soul of a sinner, and yet he could be confident that the Lord would bring to pass all of His purposes. The king sought to encourage all who serve the Lord to continue on in the task of sowing the seed, for some of that seed will prosper and will result in a harvest. Those who serve the Lord can do so in confidence in that which the Lord will accomplish for His glory.
