Jesus was born, that is incarnated, that humanity no more may die. He came to save us. What a wondrous blessing! Superficiality in spiritual truth is not a good thing. The problem with many is their Jesus is too small. Their Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible. You must study the Bible and meditate upon the deep truths there for us. We will stand amazed by the question: why the God-Man? The reality of the incarnation is staggering. The eternal, infinite, divine Creator and Sustainer of all things, who could speak a word and destroy a sinful world, was willing to come into this world and assume our flesh to become our Savior. It's overwhelming. That's the great thing about the gospel! Like Mary, it is good for us to meditate upon the deep meaning of Christmas. Celebration without meditation may leave you cold. But meditation with celebration will bring true joy to your soul!
