He was busily unloading a delivery vehicle as I approached on a busy city sidewalk. Holding out a tract to him, he said, "No", and walked away. I waited for him to return because I could see I had not finished speaking to him. He knew what I had in my hand. He knew very well I was advocating Jesus Christ.
When he came out again I said, "You need this. It's about Jesus Christ", offering him the tract again. Stopping his busy labour, he pushed the tract aside and said, "I can't believe in Jesus." "How come?" I asked. His answer has remained on my mind to this day. "How can a man be the Son of God?" he asked.
After he looked me in the eye for a moment, I drew a breath to speak, but he hurriedly bent down, picked up another box and carried into the store, repeating his declaration. He wouldn't speak. I left the tract on the next box and continued on my street-evangelism journey.
