In this land of exile, we will face real adversaries - adversaries that seek to destroy us. But because our inheritance is the Almighty Omnipotent Living God, we are imperishable.
In this land of exile, we will face temptations and continue to battle sin and corruption in our heart. But because our inheritance is the Holy One of Israel - the Lord Jesus Christ who shed His precious blood on the cross to cleanse us of all unrighteousness, we have been made pure and we are undefiled.
In this land of exile, we will experience pain, illness, frustration, broken relationships. But because our inheritance is the God of all comfort and mighty deliver, He will sustain us during our time of infliction and He will lead us out of this land of exile into our true and glorious eternal home. To a glory that will be unfading.
As we enter a new year, we each face many uncertainties some good, some bad, but because of our certain inheritance, our amazing inheritance, we can face them with joy and peace, and we don’t have to be afraid and hold out. We can give ourselves all for His glory! |
