Day by Day Prayers Luke 11:3 In the days of Jesus, a laborer was paid daily. They were paid at the end of each day for the work they had done for that day. Since they were not paid weekly as we often are, they could not go out and buy groceries for a week. Therefore, at the end of the day they would purchase the food they needed for that day. So, you need to ask the Holy Spirit to shed his light on your life and see if there is a sinful behavior or attitude you need to abandon. God does give me what I ask for, and in the process, he helps redefine my priorities and motives, he helps me discern his will, he help me practice persistence and he teaches me obedience.
