SERMON INFO
It is good to say you want a relationship with Jesus, but it is not enough. Answer these questions, Is Jesus more important to you than what you personally want? Is Jesus more important to you than what your culture requires of you? Is Jesus more important to you than what your family desires of you? Consider Jesus who, unlike the animals, had no home of his own. He had every right to have a home. but His mission was so important to Him that He willingly endured the deprivation of His basic human rights. Does your heart and life resemble this self-sacrificial drive of Jesus? Jesus is not saying that if you follow Him, you can come with a list of expectations. Is Jesus Himself enough for you? There are a lot of people who want to follow Jesus, but they would like to wait until it is more convenient. Other responsibilities are more pressing now than following Jesus. Those who want to follow Jesus must go against all unbiblical presuppositions. Don't wait until your family agrees. Jesus must be more important to you than any relationship in your whole life. If you truly understand who Jesus is, you would drop all of those excuses. To see Jesus is to see that any sacrifice is not only worth it, it is a privilege. We are living for something bigger than a comfortable life. Is Jesus enough for you?
