Mt. Mizpeh, Keeping a Watch on the Mount_07PT21 Samuel 7:3-14; Judges 20:1-9 Mizpeh is the watchtower. The events of this place remind us to be alert or watchful in a number of areas in our lives. So how do you keep a watch. 1. Keep a watch on your consecration to Christ.2. Keep a watch on your Courage. 3. keep a watch on our confidence or faith in God. 4. keep a watch on our commitment. As Christians, we have serious responsibilities. For example, we are responsible to deal with sin in our own lives. We are responsible to serve the Lord and share the Gospel with the lost. Unfortunately, many believers do not take these responsibilities seriously. They do not keep an eye on their devotion or commitment to Christ. When this happens, they begin to spiritually cool. They get out of church. They begin to live a carnal life and waste their opportunities to serve the Lord. Paul urged us to keep our focus on the Lord and stay committed to Him. May we be alert to having a committed heart to the Lord.
