Aim: To learn how to follow God's mandate and His leaders into blessing.
Exegesis: Follow the leader to the land of promise. This land knows no (sinful) human king (vv. 1-2a) and no human limits (v. 2b). Follow the leader to the land of plenty. This requires faith (v. 3) and vision (v. 4). Follow the leader to the land of provision. With God, we are invincible (v. 5a), emboldened (v. 5b), and secure (v. 5c).
Key verse: v. 2 ''Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to themthem—the children of Israel.''
