The Bible tells us that "There is only one Hope…". In other words, a reason or purpose for which we are called. What then is that Hope? For sure it is unlike the hope of the world, or that the non Christian has. Rather it is a 'living' or 'lively' Hope, a Hope that we have been born into.
What is the basis of our Hope? The answer, of course, is Christ Himself. In everything, in every way, in every part, in life and in death, our salvation, the promise to us of eternal life, our Hope is in Him alone.
As Christians we are told that "…you were called in one hope of your calling". Have you yet heard the "call', if so how did you respond to it. Or, are you waiting to hear it?
If you are a Christian, you are assured of 'a heavenly inheritance' that is reserved for you. Trust therefore in Christ, and look towards that certain Hope for your future. |
