New Montpelier Revival (Sunday evening... October 7. 2018)
Micah 2. When the people were demanding the preachers to be silent over the issues of the day. The people compared the prophetic word of God with a dripping faucet (prating). God's message was an aggravation and His messengers were a constant agitation to their way of life. The last thing in the world they wanted to hear was "another" word from God nor His tedious preachers preaching to them. Therefore, God said He'd give them the silence they longed for but it would come at a high cost (2:6). Then He asked this question.
"Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?" (Micah 2:7)
Simply saying, "If you ever wondered, why MY WORD didn't seem to "work" for "you" or "work as good" as "this or that," and doesn't profit you, now you know! It works for those who trust and obey it. And those who trust and obey find just how good it is... and how good and gracious I am to those who serve Me."
