Love is not emotional, it is doing, but doing what? Doing God's will, in God's way for God's glory. The problem is many people assume that what they are doing is exactly this when in reality what they are doing is merely following their own traditions, i.e., man's wisdom. Scripture shows us that love is defined by God's law-word and thus to love without hypocrisy, according to Paul, is to live by every word from His mouth. This is the only way to truly abhor what is evil and cling to what is good. If both evil and good are not defined by God's word then how do we know that we are not abhorring things that God doesn't and clinging to things that God abhors? Many people are actually doing this in the name of love--which is loving with hypocrisy.
