Many things can be learned about God from this glorious chapter. Among these things are the following (1) God is the Sovereign Lord - it is the Sovereign Lord who effected the deliverance of Israel at the first and second exodus, both of which foreshadowed the ultimate exodus accomplished by Christ (2) God is the Good Shepherd - God will feed His people in every necessary way. Jesus is the ultimate manifestation of the compassionate shepherding of God (3) God is the Exalted Creator - God infinite power is manifested in His creation and even secular scientists are today in awe of His handiwork (4) God is the Ruler of History - the Biblical philosophy of history is not cyclical nor does it identify economic factors or the like as the driving force - but rather states that history is His Story (5) God is the Incomparable God - repeated the Bible declares God to be incomparable. He is in every way superior to any religious leader history might boast of. (6) God is the Strength of His People - God is infinitely strong and gives strength to His people out of His infinite resources This great God has displayed His glory preeminently in Jesus Christ
