Beyond the South of America, perhaps his songs are not known, but they speak the simple words of a simple, hard-working man who wrote them out of his own experience of the grace of God and love of GOD'S WAY OF SALVATION. In later life, Bro. Hale was the beloved pastor of TRUTH BAPTIST CHURCH in GRAY, LA. It was a pastor and church that loved the truth of God's Word preached in the old-fashioned way that awakens sinners and edifies saints, by the blessing of God's Spirit.
