Vs1-2: this is the first time we see the “thousand years” mentioned. The word ‘millinia' is not in the Bible, but here is the reference to Satan being bound for a thousand years. This script tells us exactly who is bound; it is Satan, no doubt about it. How can you chain a spirit with a chain? It's some kind of device that God has that can hold Satan for 1,000 years. Vs3: God sealed Satan so he can't deceive the nations anymore for 1000 years, and after that, he will be set free for a little while. God turns Satan loose again, after 1000 years of bliss and perfection on Earth. The reason is, during the millennial rule of Christ, He will not allow any rebellion or disrespect at all. Mankind will still live in the flesh and populate and reproduce for 1000 years with no sickness or poverty. No rebellion against Christ will be allowed. Christ will rule, not the Supreme Court or anyone else. At the end of that period, Christ will set Satan loose again to allow people who really don't like Christ's rule can show their true colors. God always allows people to make a free choice. In the spirit realm, there is no straddling the fence. You are either w/God or w/Satan, not both. So Satan will come tempt again after this 1000 years of perfection w/o evil, pollution, poverty, and then Satan will be turned loose and start deceiving people again. This is the Great Rebellion. To give mankind one last opportunity to show who you love and who your allegiance is to.
