A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Quentin was involved with the pastoral oversight of Edinburgh City Fellowship for 15 years. When he moved to the States, he taught high school Christian philosophy, speech, and English at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, IL while he served as co-pastor of the Church of Christian Liberty. He was later appointed assistant minister of teaching at Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church. Quentin received his Master of Divinity degree from Whitefield Theological Seminary in Lakeland, FL and later completed his doctorate from the same school. In 2001, he became an academic dean at Whitefield College, an undergraduate liberal arts institution dedicated to offering degrees in preparation for Christian vocations. Quentin comes to Oakland Collegiate with a personal understanding of the struggles many of our students face. His adolescence in Edinburgh was a time of challenges, and he believes he overcame these solely through the merciful grace of God. It is this same grace that he relies upon to this day, and he knows that while there are many physical and academic pursuits students may master at OCS that will equip them to be productive citizens, it is only the knowledge of God that comes through faith in Christ that will supply them with the Godly wisdom to positively shape their own future family and thus, the future of our nation. | more | less
