Evangelist Barry Daniel was born in southwest Virginia into a Christian home with loving Christian parents. Faithful attendance to a Bible-preaching church was a habit instilled in him since birth.
At the age of four his dear mother took a Bible and shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him. Bro. Daniel made a profession of faith at that time. However, as the years past, he had a difficult time remembering as to whether or not he had indeed personally received Jesus as His Savior. Understanding that salvation is an individual decision and desiring to have a time and place which he could recall, Bro. Barry, at age nineteen, told the Lord that he wasn’t sure of his salvation and called upon the Lord to save his soul! His main verse of assurance is Romans 8:16 where Paul declares, “The Spirit itself bearers witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”
Bro. Barry’s calling to the ministry is a simple story. The Lord gifted him to preach many years ago, and he felt both the responsibility and desire to exercise that gift as doors were opened to him! Recognizing this call to ministry, He trained at and graduated from Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC.
From both assistant and senior pastoral ministry to the Christian school classroom to itinerate evangelism, the God of heaven continues to open doors of utterance to Bro. Daniel! His desire is to preach the Word of God to both believers and the lost, to both the young and the old with precision, passion, power, purpose, and practicality, leading them to a point of decision for Jesus Christ!
Bro. Barry and his wife Melissa of nearly thirteen years reside in Roanoke, VA with their four cats. | more | less
