If you did not know that the Saviour is looking for you, read with me Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Perhaps some will say, “I did not know I was lost.” Let God’s word speak again in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” We see there very plainly that every human being is a sinner. So indeed we need to be saved from our sin because sin has terrible consequences. We read in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death(Hell); but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

While you are sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore, very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more, there is a seeking Saviour named Jesus looking for you. Yes, the Bible says he came to seek and to save that which was lost. From the raging sea of sin he wants to rescue you today. He wants to give you that eternal lift that lasts down through the ages of eternity.

No one else can lift you from that future in Hell but Jesus, because he earned the right to save your soul and make you whole on the cross of Calvary.

One day Jesus found blind Bartimaus on the Jericho road crying out for help. On another occasion there was a thirsty woman at Jacob’s well who was given the living water (salvation for her soul) by Jesus that day. One wonderful day Jesus was looking for a little man called Zacchaeus and found him in a tree. In Acts 16:30, we read about a Philippian jailer who found joy in salvation when the seeking Saviour found him.
