God, our creator, said in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” Now there is a solution to the painful problem of a “troubled mind.” Of course, we understand that this scripture is referring to one who has had a new birth; one who knows Jesus personally in the free pardon of sin. In this verse God is talking to the sheep of his pasture, those people who have repented of their sins and accepted Christ as their Savior, those who are saved.

If you have not yet come to the place of repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, He invites you right now, today, to trust Him as Savior and Lord. Following this transformation experience, the sweetest peace the human soul can ever know will be yours then and in all of life’s journey.

Many people try to find peace of mind in all the wrong places. It does not come in a bottle, neither do you find it on a dance hall floor. Drugs may cause you to have some temporary thrill for the moment, but guilt and shame the rest of one’s life. Many people and many nations have tried to live without God only to find that in the end it “bites like a serpent and stingeth like an adder.” There is never any permanent peace to be found apart from God.
