In every job or profession we have all seen pretenders. But the greatest deceiver of all is the religious hypocrite who continually talks about the Lord, but has never had a new birth. He has learned some of the terminology and he tries to sound like the real thing, and yet he is living daily on the sinking sands of false religion. Satan often uses him to help send others to hell.

Read God’s word of warning in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” He then goes on to say he will do much religious talking, but no walking because they have never experienced the new birth. They are as unreal as a paper moon hanging over a cardboard sky. They are imitators.

God speaks in Matthew 7:24-26 “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock (Jesus): And the rain descended, and the floods came,and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon rock. And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”
