What a Fantastic Day! Saturday 9th April 2011 saw a special commemorative event to remember the Last Revival to ever happen in England! Revival broke out in our home town of Lowestoft in March 1921 in an incredible way, thanks to the special moving of the Holy Spirit.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, Oulton Broad FPC hosted a special service opened by our pastor, Rev Kyle Paisley, and taken by our member, local teacher, Matthew Pickhaver.
Matthew gave an excellent PowerPoint presentation using original footage and photographs, having researched the subject brilliantly, and we were so encouraged to have the church full to overflowing!
Approximately 220 people crammed into our church to hear this presentation, including our Member of Parliament, Peter Aldous, and a former MP, David Porter as well as several local councillors.
After the meeting, folk enjoyed a good time of fellowship whilst enjoying an exhibition of events that unfolded in 1921, featuring many of the people and places involved.
An excellent day all round, and we continue to pray and hope that the Lord will bless this endeavour by opening the floodgates of heaven once more in our sin-sick land, bringing many people to Himself in such difficult times as these.
To God be the glory, great things He has done!
