(Proverbs 12:25) “Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.”
Heavy heartedness and depression at some point comes into everyone’s life. It’s practically unavoidable. Friends and loved ones encouragement is nice and appreciated. It makes you glad they are there and for you to know that they love you and are concerned. But there are times that you just need time. There are wounds that just don’t heal over night. Sometimes words can’t fix it. These are times we need to spend alone with The Lord. Only there can we find the truth. Only a word from Him can make the heart glad again. When is the last time you really spent more than five minutes alone with God? Sit there right now, time it, five minutes alone with God. Pour your heart out to Him. Ask Him for healing for whatever is burdening your heart. What was the word He gave you? Sometimes you just have to wait and see. But the time you spend with Him will bring peace.
(Psalm 34:17)" “The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
