“Coffee with Christ”

(Deuteronomy 5:24)

“And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.”

Moses reminds the people of Israel of the Word that God had given them. In verse 4 he tells them God had spoken to them “Face to Face”! This meant that God had spoken to them intimately, as a friend to friend even though it was through His servant Moses! Openly sharing His heart with people whom He loved. Is it not an amazing thing that we too have The Words of God revealed to us by The Comforter, The Holy Spirit of God? That The Creator of the universe and all that it contains would condescend to interact with His creation personally! Moses and the people of Israel received The Word by prophets, the Tablets and the voice of God out of the pillar of cloud and fire. We have received His word through His Son, The Bible and The Bible. Thank you Lord for the Gracious revelation of Your will through Your Word.
