“Coffee with Christ”

(2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

What causes you to cry out to God the most? Has God allowed a thorn in your flesh to linger when you know it would be so easy for Him to remove? It doesn’t matter what the thorn may be, as long as He gets Glory from it we should, as Paul says, Glory in it! When we realize our infirmities, reproaches, necessities, persecutions and distresses have been allowed by God for His Glory and our humility, we should takes pleasure in then. In verse seven he uses the terminology, “lest I should be exalted above measure” twice, as the reason The Lord had not taken away the thorn. Pride is the greatest way to lose the power of Christ in our lives. In the end of verse nine he said he Glories in his weaknesses that the Power of Christ may rest upon him! In the end of verst ten he says, when I am weak in the flesh, then am I strong in the Spirit of Christ!
