“Coffee with Christ”

(Matthew 7:13-23)

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

One of the saddest text in all of scripture. To expect Heaven and yet to be introduced to hell. It is a horrifying thing for anyone to go to hell. Atheist, Jew, Muslim, Anybody! But for those who call themselves Christian! Those who claim the Name of Christ! Judas, Ananias and Sapphira, Simon the Sorcerer! People who hang around the Church crowd. They hung around Jesus and yet belonged to the devil! How tragic is that? There are so called Churches that are not true Churches Churches! Entire buildings full of people who come together to worship a God they never knew! Pastors that are not saved, much less true ministers of God! Blind leading the blind! LOOK AT V.13 and V.22! “Many there be which go in there at” and “Many will say unto me in that day, Lord Lord” The same many! These are the days we are living in! The day of The Laodiceans, (Rev.3:17)! Poor, blind, miserable, naked and don’t even know it! Luke Warm! These were Religious, but lost people. They incorporated every thing in their lives into their religion! Religion will leave you right where it found you, LOST! Billy Graham once said he believed 80% of people in Churches were lost! I believe that’s a conservative guesstimate!
