And Jesus said to the centurion, “Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed that very moment."

It's impossible for faith to fail. It relies upon God; it is his own gift. Faith does not deal with an unfaithful person! It has nothing to do with a god of inability! No, faith deals with the faithful Sovereign, and according to his word, it will be done.

Take with you God's promises. Take his commands. Pray unto him as One who hears, then arise in the assurance that you have what you desire. 1 John 5:14, "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us." It is blessed to PRAY TO GOD!

First, "Jesus said." Look at the authority of the One who's speaking. Look at his faithfulness.

Faith has nothing to do with self. It relies upon God to fulfill what he has promised. It brings no righteousness and no strength. It musters up nothing and offers God no assistance.

Do we doubt Jesus, as if he's a liar? Isn't his faithfulness proven by the resurrection? Hasn't he taken away all hindrances, providing his blood for our righteousness and his Spirit for all strength? Isn't his word good enough?

Many stumble, looking to self. They say, "I can't feel it," "I can't do it," or, "I'm not good enough," but it has nothing to do with self. We are nothing, and he is everything. He is worthy of faith!

Secondly, “Go; it shall be done for you." Do not doubt. Go on your way believing. Arise from prayer fully assured that you are justified and have the blessing. Don't wait on emotions. Don't wait to see it. Believe the naked word and act upon it.

God deals in absolutes. The sinner that believes is justified. The saint will be given strength. The hopeless will have joy and peace, and the Spirit will come! We have a faithful God. Let us act like it. His word will be fulfilled.

Thirdly, "The servant was healed." All great acts of history were acts of faith. The weak were made strong, and sinners became obedient. Drunkards were sobered, wife beaters became tender, and false prophets turned into gospel preachers. The change was miraculous, but that's EXACTLY WHAT Jesus does! Bless his holy name. He has all power to cleanse corrupted man and make a permanent change! He has power to bring us to heaven.

Only believe, and he will do it. Faith is most reasonable.
