(Hebrews 12:28-29) “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.”
There is an air of over familiarity with God in the worship services of our day that stems from arrogant pride. Many act as though they are equals with God rather than servant creatures of His. We should enter His gates with praise and thankfulness for Him being born the babe of Bethlehem; but do not forget to honor Him as The Lord God almighty and to fear Him as The Lion of the tribe of Judah! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Bless His Holy Name with Reverence, for our God is a consuming fire!
(Proverbs 16:5-6) “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.”
