(John 8:33-34,36)
“They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in “bondage” to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant “Bondslave” of sin. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Those who are lost cry the loudest about the freedom of the will, not recognizing the bondage of the will sin has brought into their lives. Sin is a killer! It’s wage is death! Spiritual death is a bondage all it’s own. Physical death binds you physically and Spiritual death binds you Spiritually! Our wills have been so affected by the fall of Adam that the lost have no desire for Spiritual things until God frees them from the bondage of sin. This is called (Regeneration). Only then are we loosed from the bondage of sin, able to freely choose Christ and willingly be saved. The natural, lost man is not sick or dying! He is not going down for the third time hoping someone will throw him a life line! He is dead and must be born again, (regenerated) before he can have faith in Christ to enter the kingdom of God. Only Regeneration (being born of God) brings true freedom of the will.
