For every man, woman and child the essential question we all must face is this: "What is the shape and purpose of my life?"; another way to put this is simpler… "Why am I here?" This question must be faced by all of us, each reflection of the question itself is unique, but every answer finds its root in the same place - a relationship with our creator. We exist for the glory of God, we exist for life spent with Him, we exist for WORSHIP. Worship is NOT musical styles, preference or any of the other trappings which we so often attach to the word. Worship is giving to God the honor and glory due to His name, nature and person. Worship is living a life that is aimed at God, honoring His name and obeying His commands while surrendering our rebellions. Worship is not a punctiliar action, it is rather a lifestyle, a whole person pursuit that shapes and directs a lifetime. Everything we are, everything we have, everything we do finds its deepest meaning and purpose in God. It does not matter what land you call home, what religion you grew up with, what ideas you fashioned in the darkness of your imagination; the truth of God is written in the stars and on the walls of your heart - but plainer still, between the covers of the Holy Bible. God has spoken to us in His Word, and He has spoken to us through the Living Word, Jesus Christ - His only Son… He has created each of us and calls to us with a Father Creator's heart, you might seek in other places and try to establish other ideas of what life is and should be, but the truth will not be denied. The day is coming when He will call you to a reckoning for how you spent your life, this gift which He gave you with which to seek Him. I beg you in light of eternity, settle the matter today. Seek the Savior who alone can make our reason for being make sense.
