There is no shortage of those who declare the statutes of God, but whose lives are a total contradiction of His word. They give the "blessing of God" to those who walk in rebellion, to those whose lives are openly, wickedly sinful. They assure rebels that God doesn't object to their sin, is fine with their evil, has no problem with their iniquity... beloved, hear the Word of the Lord! He rebukes those who will not heed His word, who will not take instruction, who refuse to repent. And terrible is His anger against those who lie to people who are walking in evil, telling them that God is not opposed to their lifestyle, to their choices, to their sin. While professing love to their hearers, they are confirming them in their doom. Destruction and misery await those who hate God, and those who walk in sin without repentance, declare that hatred with every word and every deed. But double condemnation is reserved for those who lie about God, who deny His hatred of evil. It is NOT love to lie about God's wrath, no matter how nicely you put it, or how many signs you put up in the church yard!! True love risks offending when the course runs to ruin. The other side of the coin is this; when they speak lies about God, He WILL ultimately defend His Great Name! He will not leave them unpunished who speak falsely about Him, and more, He will require the blood of their victims at their hand. They will be held responsible for every soul that they send blithely on the road to hell. I urge you, dear ones, speak the truth about God, and let your life in every way, be aligned with that truth which itself aligns with God... Instead of hiding the difficult things, be doubly vocal with the good news of the gospel; there is always the offer of forgiveness for all who repent! Turn from sin, and live!!
