Jeremiah 2:34 "Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these."
A day of trial has come upon the whole earth. Nothing has ever been seen like this before, and yet I cannot believe our government's response.
Wisdom tells us that when such a situation as this virus arises it may be seen as a judgement directly from Almighty God. It makes no difference where the virus came from. Whether it was from a meat market, or the chemical weapons laboratory just up the road from the market, makes no difference. These things cannot happen apart from the sovereign will of God.
At such times it behoves men to call on the Name of the Lord for deliverance, and to enquire as to why we are under such judgement. One of the obvious reasons is the shedding of innocent blood that has gone on in our hospitals since 1967. Millions of children have been killed. God calls this the shedding of innocent blood and it cries to Him for vengeance.
Unlike the wise people of Ninevah who put away their sins and cried mightily to God for deliverance, our nation is determined to fill up the cup of God's wrath towards us, with increased slaughter of the unborn. This is unfathonable wickedness and God sees it. We are provoking Him to the very highest degree imaginable by increasing access to abortion, at a time when we should be crying to God for mercy.
We are courting absolute destruction and disaster. God is not mocked!
The sermon that I have just uploaded was preached in Glasgow in 2009. I have preached more than a thousand times in the open air, and yet this was the most difficult, distressing, and hurting, message that I have ever had to preach.
I was broken to pieces by preaching on this subject. I was also broken by the crowds of shoppers who were almost totally indifferent, even when they were described as murderers of their own children.
I felt broken apart once I had preached this sermon. A month later I still felt broken. Now, 11 years later, there is still a part of me that never recovered.
Gospel preaching comes at a price!
