Here. Here is our steadfast confidence, our hope in the hour of our trial. Here is the surety of our expectation, God, our God, has promised that He will help us, He will uphold us with His own righteous right hand. In the darkest of times, in the deepest of holes, no matter from whence comes the destroyer... the hope of our deliverance stands secure. Our God has promised! And if we want to be able believe this perfect promise of help, then we are obligated to rest upon the source of both the promise and the guarantee - the name, reputation, glory, nature and character of the One who makes such an audacious claim!! When all the voices of the earth are inciting fear, terror and dismay, it seems almost insane to NOT be afraid... and yet, when we rest in the God who is, then we have no reason to fear, and every reason in the world to hope, to expect good things to come from Him. No matter what this day holds, it will still turn out for our deliverance. Beloved, DO NOT FEAR!!! Our God is God, and He is still on His Throne!!
