The single most important focus of our lives... keep yourselves in the love of God. It is not about making God love us, or being worthy, or that we are the active power that preserves our salvation - it is about us remembering whose we are, that God loves us, that He will keep His promises to us... our flesh wants to forget and to doubt, but faith grows as it is fed, and the Spirit feeds us with His presence. Beloved, we must always press in to know the love of God, for it is foreign to us, it is alien and strange, and frankly, quite extraordinarily unbelievable to our flesh. The idea that God loves apart from our works just doesn't work in our minds... thus the need to be always seeking to keep it fresh and present to us, from this awareness our knowledge of the mercy that is ours in Christ is made manifest and powerful. Press in, be fed, be strengthened, be full!!!
