1 Corinthians 15:56–58 (NKJV): The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Here is our motivation for all things: sin and death have no power over us... let that sink in, the two worst things in all of creation have NO POWER over us!! We who thirst for life. find our cup is overflowing in this truth, God has broken the bonds that were our ruin. The power that was the bane of all mankind has been reduced to a momentary pinch, one breath here, the next, there in glory for all eternity. All of the pain, all of the sorrow, all of the hopeless, wearying striving after meaning, purpose, and life have all been taken away and replaced with the life of Christ lived out in us. Oh, precious child, let us consider this truth well, and then let it motivate our work, for nothing that we do in the name of Christ and for His glory will ever be lost, our whole life is safe in this... for we ourselves are safe in Him!
