“And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room” (Psalm 31:8). The saint has been liberated by Jesus Christ. He is no longer “shut up” but has been brought into a large place. This is a great picture of the redemption that is in our Saviour. Out of the prison into the palace. Just like Joseph.
Look around you this morning child of God and see your glorious position in the Lord Jesus. See where you feet stand and how marvellous is the spacious place into which grace has brought you. Meditate upon that “large room” wherein you abide.
“Large indeed is the possession and place of the believer in Jesus, there need be no limit to his peace, for there is no bound to his privilege” (C.H. Sturgeon).
