Can you imagine what the disciples were going through and thinking on the day before the resurrection? Some of the ladies were preparing the spices and ointments for the body of Jesus and some of the disciples were huddled behind locked doors in fear of their lives. I am so thankful that we have the completed Scriptures and we can read that Jesus rose and believe that He is alive forevermore.
Tomorrow we will gather together to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior. It looks like the weather is going to be fine for our 6:00 AM Sunrise Service on the steps of the Capitol. This has always been a wonderful time together as a church family as we sing a couple of songs and share a thought from the Scriptures. Following the Sunrise Service, we will come to the church for breakfast together before Sunday School at 9 and Morning worship at 10.
Please be making plans to attend every service that you can with us. Also, please take some time today to contact some people that you know may come to an Easter service with you. There will be people that attend church tomorrow that would not attend any other time than Christmas.
There will be extra singing and specials tomorrow by the choir so come prepared to rejoice that we serve a risen Savior. Looking forward to seeing you in the morning as we celebrate together.
