Some of what I was thinking about at 3 am but didn’t want to get out of bed to write just then.
I understand “inclusion” is the politically-loaded buzz word of our age.
The world will act as the world acts.
But the one who is careful about the things of God will take to heart that there is an exclusionary aspect to His kingdom that boldly contradicts the thinking of our age.
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).
God is not like us. He is holy, set apart by His own righteous character which is not subject to the opinion polls, fads, or fetishes of men.
A separation is coming.
Cries for inclusion will go unanswered.
“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left” (Matthew 25:31-33).
And the consequences will be eternal.
“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life" (Matthew 25:46).
The good news is that Christ is a haven of protection, rest, and safety for all who come to him by faith.
But He offers Himself exclusively, not as one option among others.
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6).
Consider wisely, my friend.
The prevailing spirit in this age of inclusion is contrary to the exclusions that will take place when Christ intervenes and brings this age to a close.
Leave this world and its thinking behind.
Join me and the many others who have died to the world and are alive to Christ.
