This morning we are going to turn the tables. We usually honor Fathers on this day, but we must underscore their advice and their Godly responsibility to LEAD their families, to be heads of their homes (as have been recognized in the Church for years.) This scripture was pinned by a wise father under the inspiration of our Heavenly Father. This IS the council of our Heavenly Father so that there is peace in our lives when we follow HIS Word!

Solomon knows that foolishness is bound up in a child. Every father knows that and not to face that is foolishness. Thus Solomon warns us! Life is uncertain (future) though we know who holds it in His hands. We live in the moment, dependant on God, and by faith! We are required to live a life according to the will of God. It is NOT as if we are in the dark about the future completely however. We are in the palm of our God's hand and we know that He leads me in His council. We have the responsibility nevertheless to live with scripture in hand!

We are admonished. Do NOT lead to your own understanding! This is the first thing we want to do however. It comes natural...charting a course that is a result of my feelings and the person. Pure folly! Do we stand independent or are we dependant for everything?! What can you and I change? "Man proposes, God disposes!" We have some understanding and wisdom to apply what we know to accomplish an end. God is not telling us not to use our understanding here, but not to us it or lean upon it alone! The world does this to their destruction, but we have the same nature note. Don't lean on your own understanding. You have to put it next to the wisdom of GOD for scrutiny to see TRUE knowledge!

And acknowledge God in ALL your ways. We first have to confess that there IS A GOD. OUR GOD. Amidst a Godless world. Our teacher par excalance, our Lord Jesus Christ, who Himself has taught us to this very fact Himself: "Our Father which are in Heaven." (Lords Days 9&10) Do we fathom that the Almighty God, creator, sustainer of all is OUR Father in Heaven?! We must live close to Him and run everything past Him! Don't do anything without Him and run everything past Him! How close do we live to God? How much is He in our plans? Do we seek His advice? TO acknowledge...as we do our earthy fathers and mothers because it is founded squarely on the WORD OF GOD! It is the ONLY infallible guide of both faith and LIVING and it will guide us correctly in every way of our lives OBJECTIVELY. Do we have questions in this life? Plug them into the Word of God! And then....we take that advice and honor it! We TRUST it with ALL our heart! We "trust and obey" with all our heart, bowing to the advice of our Heavenly Father. And that comes through our earthly fathers as well. The advice or our Heavenly Father is ALWAYS both sound and dependable! We like to say..."yes, BUT....." way to often.

When we follow God's advice we can live in peace and tranquility because God will NEVER steer us wrongly. Would we tell God who we depend on for our next heart beat and breath that He does not know what is best for us?! God holds all and everything in the palm of His hand and is our Father (who was pressed in the agony of hell for us) and He will accompany our paths. Let this Word of God come to mind when our flesh speaks and tells us what to do. It's father's day. We honor them according to the Word of God. Our Father in Heaven. That assurance is challenged continually by many. The devil, the world, and our consciences often times...but we begin to see the devastation that was fostered in history as the Church robbed its people of the teaching and assurance of full satisfaction for all of their sins! This is what is denied even to this very day! They deny this in all their unchanged edicts and those that teach this continue to rob God's people of their full assurance and the preaching that there is no condemnation for those in Christ.
