Prayer for the church:

Please pray for the up coming Holiday Bible Club. Pray for the preparations leading up to this and especially for Sarah, Daniel and Pastor as they prepare their talks.

Simon hopes to return to work in the near future. Pray that this may go smoothly.

Continue to pray for our local churches without pastors and few committed workers.

Continue to pray for Michael and Joan who is making very slow progress.

For Local Area:

Leyton (Hainault Road) is the church on our Prayer Diary for the coming week. The church asks prayer for: the health and well being of our more senior members; for those who work so diligently running the various groups year after year; please pray for the Lord's increase at HRBC; we give thanks and praise to Him for His grace over the last year. Update. David Bass, the pastor, has recently resigned from the pastorate on health grounds. Please pray for David, Adrienne and the family and also for the church as they seek the mind of the Lord for the future.

For Wider Area:

News from Pocket Testament League in India
By God's grace the ministries here are going on well, in spite of all the odds that we have to face regularly. You might perhaps know by now that the 8th State in India has passed the Anti Conversion Bill. Even before the Bill has become law, there was a lot of violence and attacks against our work and workers. In a small urban centre not far from where we are in Uttar Pradesh, a group of over 150 people gathered together and were ready to set fire to the vehicle used by the team for distribution of Scriptures. All the members of the team were beaten up and then thrown in jail. These are some of the things that happen on a daily basis.
Having said that, the Lord is continually adding new souls to His network. In Tamil Nadu last week, I had the joy of dedicating a newly constructed worship centre. Until recently, Vellalore the biggest village in Tamil Nadu, did not have any Christian witness. Evangelist Thomas now has a group of over 60 coming together regularly for worship. The building is not yet complete as it needs electric wiring before it can be used. I also had the joy of commissioning our 9th church planting couple (Biju and Pushpa) into a new mission field.
The construction of the PTL Centre in Sahibabad Is nearing completion. The work had begun with £5,000 and we have been amazed at God's provision so far. The work had to be stopped on a number of occasions due to lack of funds and we also faced challenges from local authorities. So far, over £65,000 had been spent on the building and we are trusting the Lord to provide another £25,000 to finish the work. I stand amazed at the grace and favour of God in allowing us to build in a place where we received threats and severe opposition 15 years ago. Our God is good indeed!
We are obliged to the saints who uphold this ministry in prayer and seek the whole-hearted support and prayers of God's people as we commit ourselves to reach the unreached at any cost.
