Dozens of doctors speak out against assisted suicide
Over fifty doctors working in palliative medicine and care for dying patients have signed a letter to The Times in opposition to any proposed changes in the assisted suicide law.

In the face of continual attempts to legalise assisted suicide, fifty doctors have signalled their continued support for protections in the law for the most vulnerable. In particular, the doctors have called attention to a recent British Medical Association survey on assisted suicide which shows the unwillingness of doctors to participate in assisted suicide and euthanasia.

In the letter, the doctors point out that whatever marginal support there is for the idea of assisted suicide, it remains the case that a "majority of doctors licensed to practise would not agree to prescribe lethal drugs (assisted suicide) and a larger majority would not administer them (euthanasia)." ...

Amen brother! I pray for him nightly and the Lord will provide!

Yes brother, wouldn’t that be wonderful! But, it doesn’t appear there are presently any who have the gift of healing; you and I agree on this. But, I do believe those that are suffering and desire relief should be able to turn to drugs that relieve pain. But, to play God and murder these folks, with or without their permission is wrong. Euthanasia and assisted suicide are immoral.
Proverbs 31:6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Amen bro! Some pain is so severe that some poor folks even take their own life, and that is very sad. If it can be relieved in any way, let us do it, out of compassion for them.

All this week I have been taking Codeine Phosphate for pain in the head, which apparently changes to Morphine in the body and relieves pain. It certainly does, and I am so thankful for it.

""This is a serious social problem, not a medical one, and the solution to it is not to end the lives of those suffering.""

Good point.

We should be investigating how to help people to live - NOT helping them to commit suicide.

But sadly the secular, atheist, reprobate world cannot provide a reason for living, it becomes easier for them to kill people.

Just like the abortion problem, murder is a more plausible solution to the sinful way.
