'This is harassment': John MacArthur's church to be evicted from land leased for parking lot
Los Angeles County has notified Grace Community Church, led by Pastor John MacArthur, that it will soon be evicted from a parcel of land it uses as a parking lot ‚ÄĒ a move lawyers say is retaliation for the church‚Äôs decision to hold indoor worship services amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a letter dated Aug. 28, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works informed the Sun Valley-based church that on Oct. 1, it is being evicted from a large portion of the parking lot of the church that has been in place continuously since 1975.
The county warns that if Grace Community Church fails to vacate the premise as required, ‚Äúthe District may enter the premises and remove Grace's personal property in accordance with the Agreement and applicable law, and Grace will be responsible for any resultant expenses incurred by the District.‚ÄĚ...

They may have had diabetes or high blood pressure or may have been obese. These conditions make fighting an infection with COVID-19 virus more difficult. When people who suffer underlying issues are infected with COVID-19, they are more likely to have negative outcomes.
But if they die of the disease, their cause of death is still the virus.

As an article from the states Religious News Service put it.
A comment from a person who was called Eldar reference this:
Luke 4:8-12 Jesus answered him, ‚ÄúGet behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‚ÄėYou shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.‚Äô‚ÄĚ He led him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, ‚ÄúIf you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here, for it is written, ‚ÄėHe will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;‚Äô and, ‚ÄėOn their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.‚Äô‚ÄĚ Jesus answering, said to him, ‚ÄúIt has been said, ‚ÄėYou shall not tempt the Lord your God.‚Äô
Secondly, it should rest on the reality of a changed life marked by obedience, a love for Christ and His righteousness, and a hatred for sin." Jmac Assurance of salvation never rests on you, what you do, how you think, feel- that borders mysticism. Some here love mystics, no wonder they get sucked into this type of garbage. ‚̧ԳŹ "the flesh profits nothing"‚̧ԳŹ

Christ crucified is our salvation, His obedience unto death, even the death of the cross. The double minded will gather to themselves ear ticklers that say things like ‚ÄúI believe in volition (free will). I believe, anybody who wants to anytime, can come to Jesus Christ and receive Him as Saviour‚ÄĚ (Tapes- GC 2001; GC 45-73).- JMac
When the foundations are wrong, as jmacs are, everything built on after that is a house of cards. A true man of God always points you to Christ and His "finished" work, which translates ' perfect work'‚̧ԳŹ

Fact: Grace Community has been meeting for weeks. No illnesses, no hospitalizations. no one is forced to go there. You confuse love your government as yourself with love your neighbor as yourself. Death rate still dropping, Jim. What will you desperate lefties do next?
Latest CDC announcement: 6% of the deaths are attributed to the Covid virus alone. 94% had underlying conditions. You can learn a lot by following the details, rather than the media hype. Don't let this disturb the illusion, though. We need the entertainment.
9,000 real deaths from covid have been reported. 9,000. Only 6% of all deaths recorded. Only 6% were real. Look on the cdc website. Hardly means for panic. It's not loving to your neighbor if you play like the sky is falling and send everybody into a never ending loop of hysteria.
[True believers have the Holy Spirit (4:13; 5:10-11). This is an over-arching test summing up all the others. Is there evidence that the fruit of the Spirit is present in your life (Galatians 5:22-23)?]
[In summary, one's assurance of salvation does not need to be based on a past decision or an experience. It should rest first of all on one's faith in the objective truth of God's Word, Jesus Christ, and the gospel. Secondly, it should rest on the reality of a changed life marked by obedience, a love for Christ and His righteousness, and a hatred for sin. Take heart if these things are true in your life, and trust God to continue to work out His salvation in your life.]
***It should rest first of all on one's faith in the objective truth of God's Word, Jesus Christ, and the gospel.***
Ahem. Please note, and inwardly digest. Thank you.
[True believers confess their sin (1:8-2:1) Confess here doesn't mean to recite every wrong that we have ever done. Rather, it means to agree with God about our sin. That means that true believers hate their sin; they don't love it. They acknowledge they are sinful, and yet they know they are forgiven.]
[True believers keep His commandments (2:3-4; 5:2-3). The term here refers to a watchful, observant obedience. Here the believer desires to obey truths he deems precious. It involves a proactive approach to obedience-the Christian studies Scripture in order to understand and obey it.]
[True believers love the brethren (2:9-11; 3:10, 14-15; 5:2). Ask yourself the question, "Do I love God's people and desire to be around them?"]
[True believers affirm sound doctrine (2:20-23; 4:2,6). John here teaches that no true believer will fall into any serious, Christ-denying error or heresy.]
[True believers follow after holiness (2:29; 3:3-4, 6-9). These verses certainly aren't talking about sinless perfection, or even the frequency or duration of sin. The term sin in these verses describes one who lives an immoral, ungodly, unrighteous life as a matter of continual practice, and carries the attitude of hardened hate for God's righteousness.]
Pastor John MacArthur is going up in my estimation. He came under attack, and so I did some investigation, and I am glad I did.
Please note what he says about "assurance of salvation".
[There are two important tests in Scripture for a person to determine whether or not he or she is a true believer.]
[There is first of all an objective test, which asks, "Do I believe?" Ask yourself if you affirm the Scripture's record of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Do you believe that He is God manifest in the flesh? Do you believe that God saves sinners solely through the merits of Jesus Christ's obedient life and substitutionary death on the cross?]
[Second is the subjective or experiential test of assurance in which you ask yourself, "Is my faith real?" The apostle John's purpose in writing the epistle of 1 John was to give true believers assurance of their salvation (1 John 5:13). In that small epistle John gives several marks to distinguish a true believer.]
[True believers walk in the light (1 John 1:6-7). The light here means both intellectual and moral truth. Ask, "Do I affirm the truths of Scripture, and desire to obey them?"]
Let's see, it appears that the County had a month-to-month lease with the MacArthur organization
The lessee made themselves obnoxious to the lessor. As such the lessor terminated their agreement. I assume a 30 days notice was all that was required. If the lease can be terminated for any reason just for the fact that the property owners want it back there's no reason not to be able to get it back.
Perhaps, Grace Community Church can bus people in. Of course it would be another good way of people getting the virus, but they don't seem to care much about that.
