No limit to church service numbers but no singing
There is no limit to the number of people churches can allow into their buildings when services resume on 4 July, MPs have been told.

While weddings have been capped at 30 people, there is no such limit on public worship as long as churches are compliant with Covid-19 safety measures, Andrew Selous, the Second Church Estates Commissioner, told the Commons on Thursday.

"The last three months have been the first time in more than 800 years that England has gone without public worship and the sacraments, so there is real joy that we can meet again, socially distanced, from 4 July," he said. ...

Yes i did think you were being graciously inviting..
The comment you highlighted is not scriptual as per regulation.

Well i think its ok to have 1 instrument to lead the congregation in tune and timing...This playing organ or piano is to never be boastful.. some playing b4 church service can seem to be exorbitant playing Bach or Mozart or playing in grandeur . This in my view is emphasised playing,, it should be unassuming or just plainly put a person just plays a few notes then we all sing togeather.. All my posts are done on a phone a very small phone with fat large thumbs.. so sorry i dont explain my self alot of the time, the amount of times my phone put words that i did not write appears at times and i have to go through and change it, happens alot and most its my fault. But the other day i wrote the world has a sin problem but it wrote had.. ahh.. did i write this and when i read through missed. Any way hope this second attempt made more sence. I can try again if it doesn't...i get the verify wrong at

Being called out on it doesn't amount to much if nothing is done about it. They got a finger wagging, with instruction to not do that. Kind of like if you steal something, and the judge says "Now stop that." Oh well, it's better than nothing I suppose.

I’ve never seen tamales sold from the trunk of a car, AN, but here in Mississippi there are a thousand and one tamale dives that look like they should have been condemned in the 1950s.

I live in a state that the ‘experts’ have deemed has ‘lost control of the epidemic’ lol.
Stricter lockdowns, contact tracing, and cannot leave the state are what is being proposed.

Ladybug, that trick is actually logically explained away with math. I believe you're right though, Covid19 will be forced upon us again. Scare tactics.

As for churches, government is not your head. Sing anyway.

Here's a trick to try...type in any random number three times, follow that number with 'new cases', then watch the results. These numbers are inflated, keeping the fear going. This November will be telling concerning this 'virus'. Isn't it strange how the protests and riots never had concerns about the spread, yet Trump's rally in Oklahoma was a breeding ground for the spread of this fake virus?! Many are waking up to the agenda and are no longer fooled. The longer they drag this out, the more people will question what's going on. Isn't it strange that the alleged death rate from this virus is higher in Democratic ran states? ---https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/may/24/death-rates-coronavirus-higher-democratic-states/. It's becoming all too obvious there's a political motivation behind all this....destroy Trump, destroy America. Welcome to the Socialist agenda. May God thwart their plans.

In Texas there were 5,996 new cases on Thursday and Republican Governor Greg Abbott put off lifting restrictions while placing a ban on elective surgeries in some places to preserve hospital space.

Mr Abbott announced that he was closing bars, stopping river-rafting, and ordering restaurants to return to half capacity to try to stem the outbreak.

"It is clear that the rise in cases is largely driven by certain types of activities, including Texans congregating in bars," he said in a statement....

Still have to wonder why the rules aren't such that if you are afraid, stay home, if not, don't. Isn't that fair? Is life itself not risky? Who gave permission to faceless mindless authority to decide how safe one should be? But then arbitrary rules are made by rule makers
and enforced by rule enforcers, that the rules may be justified. Illness going around? How about quarantine the healthy? How about decide which group meetings are ok, and which are not? How about dictate what you may do at the meetings? Hey, these leeches need the work, and rulemaking/enforcing is essential, according to themselves. Leeches don't like salt on them, and release their grip when it is applied. Is it time for the church to be salt? Or has it been decided the leech-gates shall prevail over the church?

Okay, don't sing; let's make some noise!

Psalm 100
A Psalm of praise.
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.

Names and phone numbers?.
A police state isn’t formulated over night , but it’s gradual encroachment is first scene in a measure of keeping everyone safe.
You may gather but not sing- all governments are essentially atheists.
.Good News, these powers of Hell will not prevail against the church. But for added measure, sing loudly, the British state run church deserves agronomy and discord.

And most sinister of all, if I understand the law correctly, apparently names and phone numbers of all attendants should be recorded and the record kept for 4 weeks. Thankfully, though I believe recommended strongly, there is no requirement for mandatory mask wearing. All these restrictions are very disturbing, and apart from one or two approaches made by some MPs and “lay members”, and a letter in May from a society (Protestant Truth Society), really the church leaders have been deafeningly silent on the whole issue, including the evangelicals!! This is very sad indeed and sets a dangerous precedent.

When shops and even pubs are full, (no doubt with illicit singing, when people have had too much), it is iniquitous, that we are told how we are to worship. Will this still be the case next year? I hope not.

I am very grateful indeed that apparently there are to be no number restrictions on church attendees, provided they can space out.

However, the state has now set a precedent whereby it can interfere with how we worship!! Apparently even choirs in an Anglican evensong cannot sing, though set back from the congregation. They may still fly Covid 19 drops everywhere. My church does not have choirs, or soloists, we have congregational singing only of beautiful old hymns with an organ or a computerised piano. What good is it if someone plays the organ, which is permitted, if we cannot sing?

What about our good friends up in the hills and islands of Scotland, (that is a separate jurisdiction, but similar rules will apply, when their services are permitted), or my old baptismal church, where only unaccompanied psalms are sung. They can no longer sing them. How long will this restriction endure?

What will happen to the online services at Met Tab, where they use recorded hymns. Will the now gathered congregants have to listen (communal hymn books and pew Bibles are also banned), without singing, whether the organ is live or recorded? What about the things not mentioned in this question in Parliament? Communion, baptisms, church fellowship, church meals, Sunday school, outreache
